Selecting Jewellery to Purchase
Shopping with Precious Monkey is easy, just follow these simple steps.
Browse through our Collections, you can either view all the Collections in one go or select specific ones that suit you via the top navigation bar.
Click and Go
- Select a specific piece and click on it. You can then zoom in by mousing over the left hand side image. Return to the product details by moving the mouse off the image area. It's very quick and you will soon get the hang of it.
- If you like what you see, add the item to the shopping basket and exit or carry on looking for other pieces to add to the basket. With each product there are helpful suggestions as to other pieces which go with your selected items.

Design Your Own- If you are feeling adventurous and want to start from scratch, click on the top button on the home page.
- You will be guided through the process and presented with a clean palette for building a necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings. Literally hundreds of shapes, colours and stone options means you now have the ability to create thousands of unique designs.
Pricing and VAT
All prices include VAT and are calculated and displayed in Pounds Sterling. You have the option of viewing all products in Euros or US Dollars simply by clicking the relevant flag. You only need do this once and all prices will change throughout the site.
Non-EU orders are exclusive of VAT (17.5%) which will be removed from your order at checkout.
The conversion rate from Pounds Sterling to your selected currency is calculated by reference to the previous day's closing exchange rate.
Our policy is to provide quality designer jewellery at competitive prices. We reserve the right to change the published web-price, up or down, at any time to reflect changes in market conditions, raw materials or packaging costs.
A change in price for an individual product will not affect the returns price.
Paying for your Goods
Checkout
Payment is exclusively via the on-line check-out process, clearly flagged throughout the site. However, we have now introduced the service of ordering over the phone, simply call our Customer Service Team on 0845 245 2500 who will make the order for you.
Payment
Payment online is by selected debit or credit cards as indicated on the site and in one of the following currencies - Pounds Sterling, US Dollars or Euros
Security Guarantee
The carefully selected Precious Monkey Jewellery Company web technology is hosted on a secure server using SSL technology (secure sockets layer) to ensure that all credit or debit card transactions are completely secure.
Every time we receive an order, we use fraud checking systems as well as authentication processes before we fulfil it. When you use our website, the secure server will encrypt all of the personal information you send us, including credit or debit card number, name and address. Encryption turns the information you enter into complex code which is then securely transmitted.
We take all reasonable measures to keep your personal information, order and payment details secure. However, we cannot be held liable if an event beyond our control results in loss to you.
Delivery
Tracking
Once your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation when a) we have received your order and b) when we are ready to despatch for delivery next day.
We have also created a facility on the site that enables you to track progress of your order as it passes through the Monkey House (our pet name for our UK manufacturing facility). As your order passes through various stages of completion we will change its status on the system.
Your unique piece is hand-made to order. We do not carry finished stock.
In the UK you should receive your goods no later than seven business days from order confirmation (a business day is a day of the week which is not a week-end or UK Bank Holiday). Certain islands in the UK may take a day or two longer.
In any country outside the UK we will deliver within 10 working days. Our preferred carrier is Royal Mail although we reserve the right to change courier at any time, without notice.
Expedited Delivery Times
If you are in a hurry (a bloke in trouble?) we may be able to rush your order. For a fee we will rework our schedules and reduce delivery time by three days.
Because this entails complex re-working of our processes, and also depends on our suppliers, we cannot guarantee delivery times. We will do our level best as we like having happy customers.

Delivery Address
You may wish to send your jewellery as a gift to someone at another address, in which case you can provide us with the alternative address details.
If the name provided with the delivery address is different from that of the billing address, the invoice will be forwarded to the billing address.
Receiving Goods
All goods are sent Special Delivery. This means you will need to sign to confirm receipt.
In the event that no-one is available to receive a Special Delivery item, a card will be left providing you with the option to have the item delivered at a later date or to collect your parcel from your local collection depot.
Postage and Packaging
Jewellery Box
As standard, all items are delivered in a beautiful custom-made jewellery box, commissioned by the Precious Monkey Jewellery design team. The cost of the box is included in the price of your goods.
Packaging
Your jewellery box will arrive in a branded outer package, manufactured from 85% recycled paper. Carefully packaged to avoid damage in transit, the box also contains the Monkey Marque, a quality certificate, signed by one of our Jewellers to confirm they have inspected your goods prior to despatch and are satisfied they meet Precious Monkey’s exacting quality standards.
Gift Wrapping and Other Services
Currently we offer a complimentary Precious Monkey Jewellery gift bag & tag which is dispatched with every order we recieve. Perfect if you are purchasing as a gift as you can write your own personal message on the beautiful gift tag we provide.
Watch out for a number of additional services to be progressively introduced to include silver after-care kits, gift wrapping and a range of high quality alternative jewellery box options. The Design team are on the case!
Insurance
All goods are fully insured whilst in transit from us to you.
P&P Costs
Postage and packaging is chargeable in addition to the quoted price of your jewellery as follows:

Instant Q&A
Throughout the site, in relevant places, we have provided an online facility whereby you can ask any question instantly and we will endeavour to reply within a few minutes.
The service operates when the Customer Services Team is at work – see below. It’s a real time-saver and may be just be quicker than making that call. To access the service just click the IQA button and ask away.
Call Me Back
During UK working hours you can request a real-time call back from a member of the Customer Service Team. Just click the “Call Me Back” button. A dialogue box will request your email address and telephone number and a short description of the problem.
Within minutes one of the team will call you to assist. If for whatever reason the Team Member is unable to help there and then, they will either commit to return with an answer, normally by email, or explain why it is not possible to answer your question.
Unfortunately, this service is not available if you do not have, or choose not to supply, a current email address.
Call the Team
You may prefer to call the Customer Service Team in person, at a time to suit you. They are available between 09.00 and 17.00 Monday to Friday and can be reached on 0845 245 2500.
Out of hours you can leave a detailed message and someone will contact you at the beginning of the next business day or at another time in working hours and specified by you.
Custom Shapes
You may have a special shape in mind which is not currently available in the Collection. To help you create that special piece, we offer a service that enables you to work with the Master Jeweller to create a special shape.
If you wish to retain exclusivity and not make the shape available to the Precious Monkey Collection, then the Master Jeweller will quote you a design fee based on estimated design and manufacturing time. He will also provide indicative lead times for delivery. When we have your email confirmation accepting the outline design (normally in the form of a sketch) and fee we will take payment in full and commence design and processing.
If alternatively you are happy for the piece to be made available on the site, and if the Master Jeweller believes your proposed design complements the Collection, then he will waive the design fee. His decision is final.
The item will be a Special Order, which means it will be made specially for you as it is not a piece that we would normally carry. Due to this fact the piece of jewellery cannot be returned and refunded.
Large Volume Orders
If you have a requirement for a large number of items (over 50) please contact the Customer Services Team on 0845 245 2500. They will be happy to discuss revised pricing and delivery terms. Discounts are not available for volumes lower than the above amount.
Gift Vouchers
Currently we offer an e-voucher service; this allows users to send a gift via e-mail. Simply click on e-vouchers under shop, select an e-voucher design, state a value and attach your own personal message for that special someone.
The recipient will receive the e-voucher beautifully presented in their inbox and are ready to shop! Further information...
Returns and Exchanges
Policy
If you are unhappy with the product, we will take it back and provide a full refund. We will be disappointed and keen to learn why it has not met with your approval. Our mission is to constantly improve, so any helpful feedback will be positively received.
The essentials
Here are the basic facts:
- You have 14 days from the date of receipt to return the goods.
- In order to qualify for a full refund, the goods must be returned in perfect condition, together with all original packaging.
- Please send us a letter quoting the customer reference number and explaining why you have returned the goods.
- We strongly advise that you send the goods via Royal Mail Special Delivery as we cannot be responsible for goods lost in transit. See below for returns address.
- You are responsible for the cost of return postage. Packages sent without postage paid will not qualify for a refund.
- Refunds to you will be made within 21 days of the date of receipt. All undamaged, correctly returned products will be credited to the original purchaser's credit card including sales taxes for all EU country shipments excluding shipping charges. Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are not refunded for shipments outside the European Community (EU).
- For health and safety reasons earrings may not be returned.

Exchanges
We prefer to keep life simple - it keeps prices down. We do not offer exchanges of goods. Instead we suggest you return the item to us, we will refund it in the usual way and you can go online and choose a new piece.
